The holidays can be a lot. Along with joy and connection, the season can also bring grief, loneliness, family tensions, unmet expectations, and a never-ending to-do list that pulls us in every direction.
In this two-hour workshop, we'll explore how yoga can help us move through the holiday season with greater steadiness, ease, and self-compassion. Together, we'll use joint-friendly movement, simple breathing practices, guided meditation, and a little yoga wisdom to reflect on boundaries, expectations, and what helps sustain us through the season.

Not at all. This workshop is designed to be accessible to people who are new to yoga as well as experienced yogis interested in exploring some of yoga’s subtler work.
-
Our movement will include chair, standing, and floor practices. Transitions will be limited and unhurried. Participants should be safely able to get to the floor and back up once or twice.
-
Wear comfortable clothing you can move easily in. Props will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own if they prefer. You're welcome to practice barefoot or in supportive footwear, but socks are too slippery.

This workshop uses accessible, adaptable movement for a range of abilities. You can expect gentle to moderately active movement rather than vigorous vinyasa, intense stretching, or long, demanding holds. Some portions will feel more energizing, while others will be calming and restorative. I’ll offer options so you can work at your own pace.

One-on-one yoga therapy sessions are available for those who would benefit from sessions tailored more specifically to their goals, health concerns, and circumstances. The first step is to schedule a free call to discuss whether yoga therapy would be a good fit.
